Lebanon with almost 4 million population is a country of different sects. There are 17 religious sects recognized in Lebanon, a beautiful country laid on the shore of the Mediteranian sea. Lebanese muslims are 59.7% (Shi'a, Sunni, Druze, Isma'ilite, Alawite or Nusayri) and Christians, 39% (Maronite Catholic, Greek Orthodox, Melkite Catholic, Armenian Orthodox, Syrian Catholic, Armenian Catholic, Syrian Orthodox, Roman Catholic, Chaldean, Assyrian, Copt, Protestant) as other religions are 1.3%.
Lebanon attracted large numbers of tourists to the point that the capital Beirut became widely referred to as the "Paris of Western Asia" before the civil war (1975-1990).
Immediately following the end of the civil war, there were extensive efforts to revive the economy and rebuild national infrastructures in 90's. The country was re-experiencing its golden ages of 70's but assassination of former Lebanese Prime Minister Rafik Hariri brought back the country to fire and bloody days again.

لبنان با 4 میلیون نفر جمعیت, کشور مذاهب گوناگون است. 17 مذهب مختلف در این کشور زیبای ساحل دریای مدیترانه وجود دارد. 59 % از مذاهب مختلف اسلامی, 39 % از مذاهب مسیحی و 3/1 % از سایر مذاهب در لبنان زندگی می کنند.
کشور لبنان قبل از جنگ های داخلی (1975-1990) با معروفیت پایتخت خود بیروت, به عنوان پاریس آسیای غربی, همواره پذیرای تعداد زیادی توریست از کشور های مختلف بوده است.
به محض پایان جنگ های داخلی لبنان, در دهه 90 تلاش های زیادی برای احیای اقتصاد و بازسازی زیر ساخت های ملی لبنان شد. در شروع هزاره سوم میلادی, لبنان دوباره روزهای طلایی دهه 70 خود را تجربه می کرد که ترور رفیق حریری, نخست وزیر سابق لبنان در فوریه 2005 کشور را به روزهای آتش و خون بازگرداند.
