A Burning Life
متن به فارسی
Acid attacks are at an all time high in Pakistan and increasing every year, with Acid Survivors Foundation recording 48 cases in 2009 and countless more probably go unreported because of social stigma. That is up from about 30 cases in 2007. The Pakistani attacks are typically the work of husbands against their wives who have "dishonored them," or the result of a "NO" answer of a girl or his family to a man asking for her hand. In the man dominated society most of the victims are the women. Easy accessibility of acid to the general public, for very stupid domestic issues they will just throw acid on each other. It does not only destroy a person's face but it destroys a person's life. Still in 2010, the nation remains without a domestic violence law.
