I was taking pictures of some Pakistani ethnic pashtun in an area of makeshift tents in the town of Khewra in Pakistan. The boy in the picture was jumping in front of my camera all the time and made me taking his portraits several times to satisfy him but he wanted more and while I was speaking to the men there, He just clicked the shutter of the camera hanging from my shoulder. I came back the long 3 hours way to Islamabad and started editing my pictures and surprisingly saw this picture. Yes it was a self portrait that the boy took. It was not my picture. I could not skip the photo as it is a very strong photo, a great composition with the fantastic gesture and look of the boy to the camera, a desire of taking picture or being pictured. I always ask the name of people I took their pictures but unfortunately
I did not ask his name as the pictures I took from him were not good
enough to use and I was in a hurry to leave the place as the men were a
bit angry for taking some photos of their women. I sent the photo to my agency and wrote the byline as (BEHROUZ MEHRI & PAKISTANI BOY). It is the first time that I have this amazing experience . The ditors decided to put my name as byline explaining in the caption that the boy took the picture by clicking the shutter. Now who is the photographer? I believe that the photographer is the Pakistani boy and not me.

Great photographers have great shoulders that carry great cameras that take great pictures of great afghan women that makes great afghan men angry and makes afghan kids push that great bottom to cause that great photo.....
